Sandwell Residential Education Service exists to help children, young people and adults to lead happier and more successful lives. We are specialists in residential, outdoor and creative arts experiences.

A visit to a SRES centre is about more than just the activities that take place. It's about a warm welcome, great food, comfortable centres, and a brilliant shared experience. That means that every role is critical to what we do - from creative arts practitioners and outdoor learning professionals, to our domestic team and office-based staff.

If you join SRES you'll be making a difference to the lives of young people.
Plas Gwynant Outdoor Education Centre is at the heart of outdoor education and adventure set in an inspirational setting below Snowdon in the National Park, North Wales. We need additional people to meet demand for the centre, and to help deliver life-changing experiences for young people:

Assistant Cook / Domestic Assistant

Adventures can't happen without young people being fuelled up and ready for action! And when they get back to the centre, they need a comfortable place to rest.

If you're enthusiastic, friendly, flexible and hardworking then you could well be perfect to join our kitchen and domestic team.

The Assistant Cook/Domestic Assistant is a crucial position that involves catering for residential groups, along with providing domestic duties throughout the centre as required.

Level 2 Outdoor Instructor

We are looking for a Level 2 Instructor dedicated to supporting the broader learning and development of children and young people taking part in residential programmes.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
at least 3 years' experience of working in an Outdoor Educational setting with young people
MLS, RCI (or equivalent) an appropriate Paddlesport qualification
the ability to drive a minibus and trailer (D1E)

This is a fixed term contract until 31/10/22, and accommodation is available in a shared staff house if required.
In return, you'll be joining a superb, close-knit team based in one of the UKs most spectacular environments. AND you'll have all the advantages and support that comes with working for an excellent local authority.
