Pond Cottage is a comfortable, accessible, 12 bed cottage with a large enclosed private garden in the grounds of Edgmond Hall Centre for Outdoor Learning. Situated in the attractive village of Edgmond, near Newport in Shropshire, and conveniently located close to junction 3 of the M54 and A41 it's an ideal base for groups travelling from across the Midlands and beyond.  
 
Surrounded by beautiful countryside yet within easy reach of local amenities, Pond Cottage offers the space, flexibility and facilities needed for a successful group stay. Edgmond and nearby Newport provide shopes, cafes, and local attractions, while Ironbridge Gorge, Hawkstone Follies, The Shropshire Hills and RAF Cosford are all within easy reach.

Good to Know Before Booking 

All bookings have a minimum two-night hire period.  
A 20% deposit secures your booking. The balance is due 4 weeks before the visit starts. 
VAT applies to all self-catered bookings.  
"Exclusive-use" means your group has sole use of the cottage and garden.  
During your stay one of our team will be available by phone to provide assistance if needed. 
We'll make sure you know if a group of children is resident in the main centre before you book.

Once we've paid the bills, any income generated from your visit is used to provide a subsidy for young people from Sandwell to visit Edgmond Hall Centre for Outdoor Learning with their school.

For all self-catered and venue hire bookings, the Hirer is responsible for the group's safety and welfare.  
 
If you include any activities led by our staff, the responsibility for safety and welfare sits with us during activities. We will make key decisions about H&S issues and, wherever possible, work with you to ensure that decisions made are the right ones for the group.  
 
We will take all reasonable care of every visitor. We accept no responsibility for illness or injury that occurs during the visit, except in the case of proven negligence on our part. For this purpose we carry Public Liability Insurance.  
 
If you haven't visited before we are always happy to arrange this. We welcome enquiries and can discuss suitable opportunities to view the venue before confirming your booking.

We do not allow camping in the garden due to the proximity of our neighbours.  
 
Normally, yes. You would have exclusive use of the cottage and garden during your booking period. If another group is using the main centre we will make sure you know before you book.
