Make your celebration one to remember at The Frank Chapman Centre! Climb a tree, build woodland shelters, learn how to create fire, try abseiling or mountain biking in the forest, plus many more opportunities to make your day special! 
 
 
Celebrate in style by holding your birthday, celebration, or activity day at The Frank Chapman Outdoor Centre which is located in the Wyre Forest just 10 minutes outside of Bewdley.  
 
Events are led by one of our experienced team and last for 2.5 hours or for a full day. Make your occasion special by choosing from a range of activities including climbing, abseiling, bushcraft, archery, geocaching, tree climb, woodland trails, challenge course, problem solving and team building.  
 
Choose between a half day (2.5 hours) or a full day 
Available for ages 6+ 
2.5 hours is £270 for a party of up to 12 participants (£22.50pp) 
Half day start times are 10am or 13:30 
Pdf party invitations are provided 
Children need to wear outdoor clothes and something appropriate to the weather 
Bring your own party food and cake.

ACTIVITIES 

Choose 2 activities for half a day, from the list below: 
High All Aboard * 
Climb to the top of a pole with a friend and stand triumphant together; trusting your friends to keep you safe. 
Jacobs Ladder * 
Working together in groups of three, climb as high as you can as the rungs get wider and the challenge gets tougher! 
Crate Stack * 
Climb as a pair while friends build a structure piece by piece to get as high as you can. 
Mountain Biking 
We'll lead you through some simple bike riding techniques before taking you out on our private bike trails in the Wyre Forest. 
Climbing * 
Climbing our bespoke on-site climbing wall; learn new climbing skills, belaying and cooperation. 
Abseil * 
This activity takes place on our climbing tower where you will take on a personal challenge to abseil down while your friends cheer you on. 
Woodland Adventure * 
Visit our amazing forest where you will be able to explore, chat with friends and take part in activities that immerse you in the environment. 
Bushcraft * 
From shelter building to fire lighting, bushcraft in our woodland area is a fabulous group activity. 
Archery * 
With expert tuition, progress from taking your first shots to hitting the target at our purpose build archery range. 
Geocaching * 
Participants use a GPS device to navigate to cleverly hidden containers called geocaches around the grounds. 
Tree Climb 
Take on our purpose built tree climb where you will learn climbing skills, belaying and cooperation. 
Orienteering * 
Take part in a navigation challenge where you use a map, wits and skill to discover markers hidden around our private grounds. 
Problem Solving & Team Building * 
Take part in a range of exciting and challenging tasks that will challenge a team in very different ways; physically and mentally!

ADDITIONAL NEEDS & ACCESSIBILITY 

Accessible facilities and activities are available at The Frank Chapman Centre so that participants can use our beautiful environment to build new skills, make new friends, increase confidence and have fun. We realise that we are still learning, so if the detail below does not answer your questions about accessibility please do contact us to discuss any additional support required. 

Around the site 

Entrances to the main centre are flat or they have purpose-built concrete ramps. 
Accessible parking and drop-off are near the entrance of the main residential building. 
The ground floor has a disabled toilet with access from both the front and rear of the building.  
Corridors throughout the centre are wide with a 70cm gap through doorways and flat floor surfaces throughout. 
1 all-terrain wheelchair is available. Please note this isn’t suitable for all users. 
A folding telescopic ramp is used around the centre and site when needed. 

Activities 

You know the group best; we'll speak with you to see whether we are able to provide an appropriate environment, programme, and experience for your group.  
 
We have experience of delivering a wide range of activities and learning opportunities for groups with additional needs. These have included physical impairments, sensory impairments, learning difficulties (ADHD, ASD, MLD, SLD, PMLD, and more), challenging behaviour, acquired brain injuries and life limiting illnesses. Our practitioners have received training on how to communicate and encourage personal and social development for all abilities.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: 

 
A: A half day is £270 for a group of up to 12. (£22.50pp). It lasts 2.5 hours, includes 2 activities and a pdf party invitation.  
 
A full day is £500 for a group of up to 12 and runs from 9:30 to 15:30. 
 
At the point of booking we would send you a link to pay in full online. 
 
A: We ask you to bring your own food and refreshments. We'll provide a sheltered place for you to eat. 
 
A: Yes, but we would need to use an additional team member and charge for an additional group (so up to 24 participants) 
 
A: Please wear outdoor clothes for the event, including something appropriate for the weather. We'll provide any specialist kit that is needed to take part in activities, such as helmets and harnesses.  
 
A: You are responsible for the care and supervision of the children at all times. You must provide no less than one adult supervisor to eight children. Any younger siblings below the minimum age (6yrs) must be accompanied by an adult at all times.  
 
Our team are DBS checked, and qualified to deliver the activities.
