Welcome to Sandwell Residential Education Service. We exist to help children, young people and adults to lead happier and more successful lives. We are specialists in residential, outdoor and creative arts experiences.
Why Sandwell's Centres?
We think we offer something special:
Have the place to yourself - an ideal chance to focus on your own group's shared experience.
Unique range of venues and activities. As your pupils grow, so do their abilities and understanding. We can provide a long-term strategy for engagement and wellbeing using creative arts and outdoor learning.
Tailored learning experiences. Programmes can be integrated with school or group ethos, inclusive, and designed to meet specific learning needs.
We focus on the whole residential experience. A visit is about more than just the activities that take place. It's about a warm welcome, great food, a strong focus on outcomes, and prosocial experiences.
Our practitioners are learning professionals but their soft skills set them aside. They can inspire a young person to express themselves, try new things, stick at something, and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
Our approach is to start with a simple question:
“What do you want your group to achieve?”
Whether it's creative arts or outdoor adventure, Key Stage 1 children or an adult group, we create exciting learning moments in memorable places and translate them into lessons for life.
OUR LOCATIONS
We have 4 centres and exclusive use is available at each of them; they are ideal places to embed values and to focus on your own group’s experience. From our 17th century Jacobean mansion to ancient oak forests and the National Parks - memorable learning happens in memorable places.
"Heuristic trips like this don’t just build character; they reveal it and prove that a child educated solely in the classroom is an uneducated child”
Head of Geography, Forres Sandal Manor School
"This was the most amazing trip I’ve been on for the children’s outcomes and what they produced and learned in a day.”
Assistant Headteacher, Birmingham
